 SCM Sofia
The Social Communications Media Department (SCMSophia), conducts a one-year, full-time, integrated post-graduate diploma course in social communications media that is open to forty bright young women and men. The course is affiliated to the University of Mumbai’s Garware Institute of Career Education and Development.

This integrated course includes broadcast and print journalism, film, advertising and corporate communications. The course is open to women and men for the academic session 2017-2018.

Eligibility

  • Minimum qualification to join the Social Communications Media course is a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, be it science, commerce, the humanities, or any other field from a recognized university.
  • Minimum percentage required to qualify as an open category applicant for this course is 50 %. 

How to Apply

Entrance Exam

  • All candidates have to appear for the written entrance test and a personal interview.
  • Students will be tested on their knowledge of current happenings in the world of films, journalism, advertising and television.
  • Preparation for the entrance test only requires an awareness of current events as reported by the media and issues concerning the media. The written part of the test includes one question each on film, television, journalism and advertising. This is followed by a group discussion and a personal interview.
