National Institute of Technology, Durgapur invites applications for admission into its MBA Programme for the academic year 2016-17. Admissions to MBA programme of National Institute of Technology Durgapur for 2016-17 will be made on the basis of CAT 2015 together with Group discussion (GD) and Personal interview(s) of candidates.

  • Availability of Brochure and Application form:  January 15, 2016 
  • Last Date of Receiving Completed Application Form: March 23, 2016 
  • Display of the list of Short-listed candidates: March 28, 2016 
  • GD & PI: May 17-19, 2016 
  • Display of Selection List: May 28, 2016 
  • Admission: June 6, 2016 
  • Admission from waiting list: June 14, 2016 

Eligibility

Candidates, having pursued Graduation from any discipline are entitled to apply for this session if they fulfil the following conditions:
  • The candidate has to score at least 60% in both 10th and 12th standard.
  • Candidates of General/OBC category seeking admission to the MBA program must have at least 55% marks at qualifying degree level; but for SC/ST/PD category candidates, this percentage is 50%.
  • The candidate has having a valid CAT score.

How to Apply

  • The application form can be downloaded from the Institute website. 
  • A Demand Draft of Rs. 1250 (Rs. 650 for SC/ST/PWD) drawn in favour of ‘National Institute of Technology Durgapur’ to be payable at S.B.I. (branch 2108, R.E. College Durgapur). 
  • Completed, signed application form along with self-attested copies of all mark sheets, certificates, valid CAT score card and demand draft should reach the office of:

Admission/Selection Criteria

  • Short-listing for GD-PI will be based on valid CAT score and merit-listing for admission will be based on valid CAT score (weight: 75%), GD (weight: 10%) and PI (weight: 15%). 
  • The students getting provisional admission to the MBA program 2016-2018 will have to submit the photocopy of final mark sheet and original migration certificate within one month from the commencement of classes.
