School of Communication, Manipal University announces Media and Communication Admissions 2016 -2017. Manipal University conducts a OET (Online Entrance Test) every year for admission into its  2 year MA (Media & Communication) programme offered at its Manipal University campus.

Important Dates

Last Date to Apply: 1st June 2016
MU-OET Dates: 25th June 2016 to 27th June 2016
Merit List will be announced: 30th June 2016
Course Commencement Date: 20th July 2016


  • Candidates should have a bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognized university and a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Candidates must attend Manipal University Online Entrance Test with Group Discussion and Interview.
  • 50% in the OET (Online Entrance Test).
  • No minimum age

How to Apply MU-OET 2016

  • A student applying under General category for the undergraduate courses and Post Graduate course under General/Foreign/NRI/ categories can apply Online.

  • A photograph and a copy of your signature has to be uploaded
  • The total fee for application includes the application fee of INR 600, mandatory for all Indian applicants and an entrance test fee of INR 1400

MU-OET 2016 Test Pattern

  • The test is two hours long and consists of 120 multiple choice questions (MCQ).
  • The test includes questions on reading comprehension, verbal ability (spotting errors, sentence improvement, vocabulary etc.), quantitative & numerical ability (arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data interpretation etc.) and reasoning & general intelligence (analytical reasoning, logical reasoning, general intelligence etc.).
  • The test might also have a few questions on latest trends and developments in the media, social and economic areas.
