Manipal University has announced the MU Online Entrance Test, MU-OET 2016 which will be held in the February of the year 2016 for admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma courses in Kasturba Medical College.   1. Candidates should have passed MBBS degree recognized by the Medical Council of India. 
  2. INTERNSHIP: Candidates completing their compulsory rotating internship on or before 30.04.2016 are eligible.
  3. Candidates completing internship after 30.04.2016 are not eligible for admission in this academic year.
  4. REGISTRATION: Candidates should have obtained permanent registration with Medical Council of India & Karnataka Medical Council and should submit the same on or before the commencement of classes.
  5. A minimum of 50% score in Manipal University Online Entrance Test.

How to Apply MU-OET 2016

  1. A student applying under General category for the undergraduate courses and Post Graduate course under General/Foreign/NRI/ categories can apply Online.

  4. The total fee for application includes the application fee of INR 600, mandatory for all Indian applicants and an entrance test fee of INR 1400, only for selected courses.

MU-OET 2016 Test Pattern

  1. The test is two and a half hours long. 
  2. It consists of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQ) carrying 200 marks.
  3. The approximate distribution of questions is as follows: Medicine including Paediatrics, Genetics, Dermatology & Venereology etc. – 40; Surgery including Orthopaedics, Trauma and Anaesthesiology – 30; Obstetrics & Gynaecology – 20; Community Medicine -20; Physiology – 14; Pharmacology – 14; Pathology – 14; Anatomy – 10; Otorhinolaryngology – 10; Ophthalmology – 10; Biochemistry – 6; Microbiology – 6; Forensic Medicine - 6.
