National Board of Examinations (NATBOARD) has announced the Diploamte of National Board-Centralized  Entrance Test DNB-CET 2016 which will be held from 28th November to 1st December 2015. DNB-CET is a qualifying-cum-ranking examination for entry to various Post Graduate courses including Direct 6 year course in the specialty of Plastic Surgery, Neuro-Surgery, Cardio-thoracic Surgery and Pediatric Surgery. 

Important Dates for DNBCET 2016

Online Registration  : 16 September – 22 October 2015 
Examination Dates : 28 November – 1 December 2015
Declaration of Results : 21 January 2016
Cut off date for completing internship : 31st January 2016

Eligibility for DNBCET 2016

1. Candidates who are in possession of MBBS degree/Provisional Pass Certificate recognized as per the provisions of the Indian Medical Council Act 1956 and possess permanent / provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the Medical Council of India/ State Medical Council and have completed one year of internship/likely to complete on or before 31st January 2016 may apply for DNB-CET examination through online application.

2. Requests for appearing in DNB-CET from candidates completing internship after 31st January 2016 shall be summarily rejected. Candidates who are completing their internship after 31st January 2016 or are likely to complete after 31st January 2016 need not apply for the DNB-CET exam as they shall be ineligible to participate at any stage of the admission process.

3. Registration with M.C.I./State Medical Council/ is necessary and its documentary proof has to be furnished at the time of counseling and on the examination day.

Application Procedure for DNBCET 2016

1. Applicants may note that there is no option for submitting the form other than the online mode.
2. The online Registration & Scheduling website for DNB-CET is available via http://cet.natboard.edu.in/.
3. Click here to register now.
4. The prescribed registration fee should be remitted through payment gateway provided using a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or through net banking.
5. At the end of Registration & Scheduling the applicant will get a computer generated acknowledgment at the registered e-mail ID of the applicant. Admit card will be issued to candidate once the registration and scheduling process is successfully completed.
6. Candidate is required to print a copy of admit card and affix a latest passport size photograph of the following specifications on the admit card. Candidate is required to bring the admit card to the Test centre along with an identification document.

DNBCET 2016 Test Pattern

1. The exam comprises of 300 multiple choice, single correct response questions in English language only.
2. Time of examination 3 Hours 45 Minutes
3. Kindly note that the weightage of MCQ’s is indicative and purely provisional. NBE reserves its rights to alter /vary /amend the same. 5.7. 
4. Negative Marking: There shall be no negative marking.

DNBCET 2016 Qualifying  Criteria 

Candidates who obtain a minimum score as per category below shall be declared as “Qualified” in DNB CET and issued a PASS /QUALIFYING Certificate. 
a. General Category – 50% score 
b. SC/ST/OBC – 40% score 
c. Persons with Disability – 45% score 

VALIDITYOF CET RESULT 

The validity of the result of the DNB-CET shall be only for the current admission session i.e. January 2016 admission session only and cannot be carried forward for the next session of CET. 

DECLARATION OF RESULT 

The results for DNB-CET shall be declared by 21st January 2016. The mark sheet-cum-result certificate for the DNB-CET examination can be downloaded from NBE website http://cet.natboard.edu.in/ after the declaration of result.
